EVSE Pro Privacy Policy
EVSE Pro ("EVSE Pro", "we", "our", or "the App") is a mobile application for connecting to and managing compatible EV charging devices. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, EVSE Pro may collect or process the following information:
- Account information: email address, user ID, verification code status, nickname, profile information, and authentication information needed for account login and security.
- Charging device information: charger device ID, charger name, firmware version, charger status, configured maximum current, Bluetooth device name, and Bluetooth MAC address of the charger.
- Charging information: charging start and stop time, charging duration, charging energy, charging power, charging mode, transaction ID, and charging record ownership information.
- Feedback information: feedback text, optional images or videos selected by the user, feedback time, and support replies.
- App diagnostics: app version, device connection status, network request status, crash information, error logs, and diagnostic information used to improve stability and troubleshoot issues.
- Media selected by the user: profile photo, feedback images, or feedback videos when the user chooses to upload them.
- Location-related permission access: location permission may be requested for Bluetooth scanning compatibility on older Android versions and for Wi-Fi SSID access during charger setup. EVSE Pro does not use this permission to track the user's real-time location.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts.
- Pair, bind, identify, and manage compatible EV charging devices.
- Connect to chargers through Bluetooth or supported cloud access.
- Display real-time charging status, charging settings, and charging records.
- Start, stop, schedule, and configure charging when the device is connected and ready.
- Provide firmware, Wi-Fi setup, charging schedule, electricity price, feedback, and support features.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and improve app reliability.
3. App Permissions
EVSE Pro requests permissions only for app features:
- Bluetooth and nearby device permissions: scan, pair, connect to, and control compatible EV charging devices.
- Wi-Fi and nearby Wi-Fi permissions: read current Wi-Fi information and configure charger network settings.
- Location permissions: support BLE scanning compatibility and Wi-Fi SSID access. EVSE Pro does not use this permission for location tracking.
- Camera and media permissions: allow users to select or capture avatar and feedback images or videos.
- Notification permission: notify users about charging start, stop, connection, or abnormal charging events.
- Network permission: sign in, access cloud features, sync device information, fetch app information, and provide firmware or support features.
4. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell user personal information.
We may process information through service providers that help us provide the App, such as backend hosting, cloud storage, email verification, analytics, crash diagnostics, map or location service providers, and customer support tools. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.
If required by law, regulation, court order, or valid government request, we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect information according to this policy and applicable laws.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain user information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Users may delete their account in the App through Personal Center or account settings when the feature is available. Users may also request account or data deletion by contacting us at support@evse.com.
After deletion, account-related personal information will be deleted or anonymized unless we must retain certain information for legal, security, dispute resolution, or legitimate business reasons.
7. Children's Privacy
EVSE Pro is not directed to children. Users should be old enough to own, operate, or manage compatible EV charging hardware according to local laws and product requirements.
8. International Transfers
Depending on the user's region and the location of our service providers, information may be processed in countries or regions outside the user's place of residence. We will protect information according to this policy and applicable law.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may notify users in the App or through other appropriate channels.
