EVSE OCPP Privacy Policy
1. Information We Process
EVSE OCPP may process the following information on your device so that the app can provide charger setup functions:
- Nearby Bluetooth device name, Bluetooth address, signal strength, and connection status.
- Wi-Fi network name (SSID) selected by the user.
- Wi-Fi password entered by the user for charger network provisioning.
- App settings such as language preference and BLE device filter text.
2. How We Use Information
The information above is used only to discover, connect to, and configure compatible EVSE charging devices. Wi-Fi credentials are transmitted locally to the charger module during provisioning and are not uploaded to our servers.
3. Local Storage
The app may store selected Wi-Fi network information and app preferences locally on your device to make future setup easier. You can remove this information by clearing the app data in Android settings or uninstalling the app.
4. Permissions
- Bluetooth permissions: used to scan for and connect to nearby charger Bluetooth modules.
- Location permission: required by Android for Bluetooth Low Energy scanning on certain Android versions. EVSE OCPP does not collect or track your precise location.
- Wi-Fi permissions: used to read Wi-Fi status and help configure the charger to connect to the selected Wi-Fi network.
- Internet permission: included for compatibility with app components. EVSE OCPP does not use it to upload personal data or analytics.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We do not share Wi-Fi credentials, Bluetooth scan results, or device setup information with advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
6. Children
EVSE OCPP is intended for charger owners, installers, and operators. It is not directed to children under the age of 13.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to limit data processing to the functions described above. Please only configure chargers and Wi-Fi networks that you own or are authorized to manage.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when app functions or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
